While in college, I interned in the telecom industry for two years. I went through telephone install schooling and worked in the telco garage as a technician my first year there. I moved into IT my 2nd year where I was afforded the opportunity to build a lab of 20 servers and complete a load test on the Remedy trouble ticketing system.

After college I continued there for 5 years working with classic ASP and Microsoft SQL Server. Most of my time was spent creating in-house financial web applications and implementing changes for Sarbanes Oxley.

After that I worked for a medical device manufacturer initially with Cold Fusion for intranet/extranet, and then did a deep-dive into the world of SharePoint. I spent 7 years there and was an early adopter of ESXi Virtualization.

After that I joined I joined a software development company and worked for 9 years creating solutions primarily in the aviation industry. I developed SAML single sign-on solutions, helped migrate the SaaS platform to Azure, and underwent extensive measures to acquire the ISO:27001 certification.

Most recently, I became an Application Security Engineer and specialize in network & application penetration tests with an emphasis on PCI compliance. I have several certifications to my name (Microsoft Certified Professional, Certified Ethical Hacker/CEH, PenTest+) with more planned in the future!
